Experience: Winnie has over ten years of individual tax preparation experience. She is a bundle of energy that inspires all of us to keep going every February through May. She feeds us, gives us pep talks, keeps us organized, and most importantly, keeps the tax returns moving through the office. Even late at night when we don’t want to keep them moving. “Here, just get this one last return done and then we can go home…”

Katy Delaplane joined Joanne Martone, CPA, PC in February, 2009, as an accountant. She graduated from Purdue University with a BS in Accounting and a minor in finance. She has 4 years experience as an intern for a commercial real estate company, working in both the finance and accounting departments. Katy enjoys being able to work directly with our clients and build personal relationships with them.

Mayte began working with us while she was still a senior in high school, where she took accounting for 3 years. Through their internship program, she was able to gain real-world experience in the accounting profession before she even graduated from high school.

Camille Perez joined Joanne Martone, CPA, P.C. in May, 2007, as an administrative assistant. She graduated from Centre College, Danville, KY in May 2010 with a BA in anthropology and sociology and minors in history and gender studies.

When you first visit our office, you will probably be enthusiastically greeted by some of our Redbone Coonhounds.

Joanne and her friend, Jean Ramm, breed and show the dogs at national competitions. Their champion dogs are highly sought after by breeders, hunters, search and rescue, and therapy trainers. After spending a few minutes with them, you’ll realize that they make great pets, too.

So, why are the dogs so important to our practice?

They bring perspective to what we do. Even the most competitive of our dogs has one goal in mind after the show is over and done: she wants to come home and curl up on her blanket with us at home.
